The Pioneers ice hockey team traveled to Cincinnati and came away with their 16th win on the season by the score of 2-1.
Sophomore goaltender, Kyle Diehr came up big as Moeller brought on an early barrage of pressure. “He was the difference in the game”, said senior Nathan Hazel who scored the game-winner.
Senior Luke Clifford broke the 0-0 deadlock with a short-handed goal on what coach Damrath described as one of the best single-handed efforts he’d seen all season.
Moeller came within 1 goal, scoring with 2:40 left in the 3rd and their goalie pulled for a sixth attacker. Orange held on by blocking shots and clearing pucks down ice to come away with a big road win.
