Orange Baseball (#3) faced off against #27 Delaware Hayes on May 15. Braden Riley scored first in the bottom of the 1st inning. Delaware showed some promise tying it up in the 3rd inning, but they quickly put 6 runs on the board in the 4th inning with Robbie Dayhuff clearing the bases with a triple. Pioneers add one more run in the 6th to win the game 8-2. Zane Lattig had a great game with six strikeouts and Robbie Dayhuff also played a good game driving in three runs. The Baseball team faces #13 Westerville Central on Tuesday, May 21 at 5:00 pm.

Track and Field
Districts for track started on Wednesday. In boys discus junior Eli Payne placed second with a throw of 130-02. Senior Grace Frye had a great night moving onto regionals in three events, placing first in discus (135-06) and shot put (36-08.5), while also placing third in long jump (18-01.5). Anna Grabau finished runner-up in discus with a jump of 119-06. Sara Borton won girls pole vault clearing 11’0. Joel Addo and Nik Brannon placed third and fourth in the high jump. Jonathan Petersen won boys pole vault with a PR of 14’7. Jaeschel shattered his PR and the school record in long jump, winning the event by leaping 24’5. Districts end tomorrow!
