Pioneers News · Olentangy Orange High School to host Winter Military Appreciation Night on 1/18/2019

The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) has selected Friday, January 18th, 2019 to be a statewide Military Appreciation Night. Olentangy Orange is pleased to announce that it will be participating in this event during the basketball game between Olentangy Orange High School and Olentangy Liberty High School. The game is set to start at 7:30 p.m; however, pregame and military recognition will begin at 7 p.m.

The purpose of this event is to show Olentangy Orange’s continued support and commitment to our current military personnel and their families, veterans and our seniors who will plan to commit to the United States Armed Forces. Just like our annual Military Appreciation Night football game, this event will be free to all active duty personnel and veterans (DD 214, military ID, or other form of identification required.)

This is an excellent opportunity for military and veteran organizations to help educate the community on what it is that you all have to offer. The good news with this upcoming basketball game – weather will not be a factor and you will be set up in the cafeteria for maximum exposure, throughout the entirety of the game.

If you are a military or veteran organization and would like to attend this event, please reach out to Mr. McDermott at terence_mcdermott@olsd.us Tables and chairs will be provided by the school. Since this game is against another Olentangy school, we expect a sold out crowd. Parking may be an issue; therefore we recommend getting to the school by 6:30 p.m. Thank you for your continued support!

Go Orange!!
