Thursday, December 21st
The Orange Swimmers and Divers competed at the first annual Delaware County Relay Invitational at Ohio Wesleyan on Thursday, December 21, the Orange girls finished in fourth place overall. The boys finished in third place overall, with first place finishes in the 200 fly-breast relay (Mason Reid, Nicholas Chugh, Patrick Mahoney and Graham Weidenhamer) and 400 freestyle relay (Ronak Tripathy, Cullen Dickson, Reid and Mahoney).
The team will compete against Olentangy HS on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 6pm at Mt. Carmel Fitness Center in Lewis Center, and against Olentangy HS and Liberty HS on Sunday, January 7 at 2pm at Ohio Wesleyan University, where the 2018 Olentangy district senior swimmers and divers will be recognized.
Friday, December 22nd
Boys Varsity Basketball beats Westerville South 57 – 54.
Orange had a back and forth battle with Westerville South as the Pioneer made plays at the end to win 57 to 54. It was truly a team win as Orange had four players in double figures: Bryson Lane with 15 pts, Ryan Cutler with 12 pts, Nik Brannon with 11 pts, and Jalen Bethel with 10 pts.

The Pioneer Varsity Girls Basketball team lost 2 games the past week. On Tuesday, the girls lost to Big Walnut 52 -40 and on Friday, the girls lost to a very talented Westerville South team by a score of 44-25. Leading scorers Tuesday were McKenna Ford with 17 points and Riley Duffy with 8. On Friday, the high scorer was Taylor Myers with 7 points.
The J.V. girls 3 game win streak was stopped on Tuesday by Big Walnut by a score of 33-25. Leading scoring was Maddie Felchlin with 8 points. On Friday, the J.V girls bounced back to defeat Westerville South 49-8. Leading a very balanced scoring attack was Madi Riley with 9 points followed by Nicole Frye with 7.
Boys Varsity Hockey beats St Charles 2 – 1.

The Pioneers faced off against St Charles Friday night and came away with a 2-1 victory that needed overtime to settle the game. After a 0-0 draw in the 1st period. St Charles struck first on a goal by McPherson early in the second frame. With only :34 seconds left in the second period, Aaron Mosher stole the puck from a Cardinals defender and walked in alone and beat the net minder over his left shoulder to bring the score to even. The two teams battled it out in the 3rd with neither team able to break thru. In overtime, the ‘neers gained control of the puck and passed it back to Junior defense-man Josh Gutkoski who shot the puck on net from the point. Sophomore Nathan Hazel found himself alone in the slot and was able to push the rebound past the goalie for a Pioneers win handing the Cards their first lost in CHC league play this season.
Saturday, December 23rd
Boys Varsity Basketball beats St. Charles Preparatory School 50 – 34.
Jalen Bethel led the way for the Pioneers with 16 points. Luke Ballinger had 5 threes to add 15 points. Orange beat St Charles 50 to 34.

Thursday, December 28th
Our Wrestling team competed in the Medina Invitational Tournament.
Connor Evans finished 7th place in the 145lb weight class.
Boys Varsity Hockey beats Clay HS / Fassett MS – Oregon 5 – 3.

Assists: C Miller, Wander (3), Gutkoski
Saves: Suroweic 14
The Pioneers are up north for the Holidaze tournament in Findlay Ohio and opened up the tournament with a 5-3 win over Oregon Clay. Goals were scored by Aaron Mosher, Josh Gutkoski and Zachary Miller scored a hat trick for the ‘neers.
Friday, December 29th
Boys Varsity Basketball beats Marion Harding 63 – 51.
Jalen Bethel lead the Pioneers with 21 points. Ryan Cutler added 13 as Orange beat Marion Harding 63-51.

Saturday, December 30th
The Pioneer Girls Basketball team lost two close games over winter break in the Jeff Sheetz classic at Teays Valley HS. On Friday, Dec. 29, the girls lost to Lancaster 35-31. Leading scoring was Taylor Myers with 8 points followed by McKenna Ford, Lauren Perone & Anna Grabau with 6 points each. On Saturday, Dec. 30, the girls again lost a close game to Logan 49-45. Leading scoring were McKenna Ford with 19 points & Taylor Myers with 14.
Boys Varsity Basketball falls to Walnut Ridge 56 – 41.
Bryson Lane and Luke Ballinger lead the Pioneers with 10 and 9 respectively. Orange fell to Walnut Ridge 56-41.

Purchase a brick with your name/family name & message to have installed in the walk way at the stadium.
Many will be proud to have their name enshrined in this walk way for many years to come!
All 8th grade boys interested in playing high school soccer for Olentangy Orange in the fall of 2018 are invited to attend winter sessions every Tuesday and Thursday night, from 6-9pm starting January 16th, 2018. Coaches will be on hand to organize skill development, weight and conditioning sessions. The schedule times will be as follows: skills development from 6-7pm, weight training from 7-8pm and if a gym is available, the boys will play futsal games from 8-9pm.
