Meet Recap

The Boys cross country team kicked off their season by taking 4th place at the very competitive Pickerington North XC Classic. The guys finished 4th our of 12 teams, but were ten points from 2nd place and beat two state ranked teams in the process.

The team was led by junior Andrew Schroff (13th-16:25), senior Tommy Wintering (14th-16:35), and senior Jackson Schiefelbein (16th-16:40). Senior Tyler King (29th-17:15) and sophomore Cody Moore (38th-17:27) rounded out the scoring places. Freshmen Cole Benishek (43rd-17:36) and Lincoln Weber (47th-17:42) were the 6th an 7th guys on the team and moved into the top 10 freshmen times in school history in their first high school cross country 5k! Overall, nine OOHS guys broke 18 minutes and twenty guys broke 20 minutes, which is the best showing of depth in our first meet of the year. The team is back in action this Saturday September 2nd at the Westerville North Invitational with the boys varsity race starting at 8:00am and the open race at 9:00am.
