Meet Recap
The boys team took third place in the fastest and most competitve central district race hosted by Watkins Memorial High School. Lancaster edged the Pioneers out by one point for runner-up and Hilliard Davidson won the meet with a score of 74 points. The top 5 teams in the three central district races advanced to the Regional Championships this Saturday at Pickerington North High School. The top 5 teams at Regionals will advance to to the State Championships.
Senior Hunter Moore led the team once again, winning his second consecutive individual District title with a time of 15:16. Joining Moore on 1st Team All-District were senior Brandon Lane who placed 18th (16:28) and sophomore Andrew Schroff who placed 20th (16:30). Following closely behind were junior Jackson Schiefelbein (21st-16:32), senior Josh Brooks (22nd-16:33), and senior Matt Hartzell (23rd-16:38). Junior Tyler King also competed placed 52nd.
The Regional Championships race will take place at 12:30pm this Saturday as the guys look to qualify as a team for the State Championships for the first time in school history.
